Zug Bug – Bead Head
The Zug Bug is a classic trout nymph pattern that continues to produce fish in a wide variety of waters and conditions. Featuring a peacock herl body, soft hackle movement, and distinctive fan tail, this proven fly effectively imitates caddis larvae, mayfly nymphs, and other aquatic insects' trout feed on throughout the season.
Available as a Bead Head, the Zug Bug can be fished shallow or deep depending on conditions. The Bead Head version adds extra weight and flash for faster sinking and improved visibility in deeper or faster water.
Larger sizes can also imitate stonefly and salmonfly nymphs, making the Zug Bug an extremely versatile searching and attractor pattern.
