Shock Absorber Type 640 TS Road

The standard suspension of the Harley Davidson “Revival” is tuned very firmly, especially at the rear, due to the motorcycle’s high weight and limited suspension travel. Shocks are transmitted almost unfiltered into the frame, and the bike tends to oscillate at higher speeds because of the stiff setup and insufficient negative spring travel.

With the Wilbers LDC Nivomat powered by ZF, we achieve sufficient suspension travel and comfortable riding by automatically adapting the spring rate to the load. Even when riding with a passenger, the automatic level control ensures a smooth and stable ride. The fork is optimized through the use of our progressive Zero Friction fork springs combined with the appropriate Zero Friction fork oil and a precisely adjusted air chamber. This guarantees a relaxed and safe ride even at higher speeds. In addition, the suspension geometry has been improved through adjustments to the negative spring travel.

The basic edition of the Wilbers Adjustline mono shock absorber features the same technology as the more complex versions. The only difference is the omission of the compression reservoir and, therefore, the option to adjust high- and low-speed compression. Nevertheless, this shock absorber makes no compromises in response behavior or durability. The radial piston, wet-run operation, and Teflon-guided self-aligning bearings redefine the quality of a standard shock. As usual, the spring preload can be continuously adjusted, and the rebound damping can be set via an open-bleed system in 22 clicks. The shock absorber can also be retrofitted with various Wilbers accessories.
