Most carbohydrate supplements use a single source, typically maltodextrin or glucose. The problem: your gut has a ceiling on how fast it can absorb carbohydrates through any one pathway. Salty Carbs uses a clinically-studied 1:0.8 ratio of maltodextrin to fructose, two carbohydrates that absorb through completely independent pathways in the small intestine.

INGREDIENT DEEP DIVE

Non-GMO Maltodextrin A glucose polymer derived from Non-GMO corn. Fast-absorbing, easy on the gut, and efficiently converted to glycogen for immediate muscular energy. Absorbed via the SGLT1 transporter, the primary pathway for glucose uptake during exercise.*

Non-GMO Fructose Also derived from Non-GMO corn. Fructose uses a completely separate absorption pathway (GLUT5) to maltodextrin, allowing simultaneous uptake without competition or overload. At the 1:0.8 maltodextrin-to-fructose ratio used in Salty Carbs, research shows meaningful improvements in carbohydrate oxidation rates versus maltodextrin alone.*

700mg Sodium Chloride Sodium is the primary electrolyte lost through sweat and the most critical to replace. At 700mg per serving, Salty Carbs delivers a meaningful dose instead of the token amounts found in most sports drinks. HOW TO USE

Mix one serving with 12–14 fl oz of water. Shake well.

  • Pre-workout: Take 30 minutes before a long or intense session to top up glycogen stores.
  • Intra-workout: Sip continuously from the start of sessions lasting 60 minutes or longer. Aim for roughly one serving per hour of effort.
  • Post-workout: Can support glycogen replenishment after intense sessions and is particularly useful when a full meal isn't immediately available*.
