Tight Radius Butt-Weld 45° Elbow with Tangents (L2KS – Special) – 304 Stainless Steel
PNW Sanitary Tight Radius Butt-Weld 45° Elbows with Tangents (L2KS – Special) provide a compact, permanent 45° directional transition for welded stainless steel process lines. Featuring a significantly reduced centerline radius compared to standard sanitary 45° elbows, this tight-radius design is ideal for space-limited installations, skid-mounted systems, close-coupled equipment, and piping layouts requiring sharp directional changes without sacrificing hygienic performance. Manufactured from 304 stainless steel and polished to a 32Ra sanitary finish on both the ID and OD, these elbows support smooth product flow and efficient cleanability.
As part of the PNW Special-series lineup, these fittings are produced to the same dimensional and material practices commonly associated with 3-A sanitary components. However, because they are not laser-marked with size or alloy identifiers, they are not 3-A certified. For projects requiring a fully certified elbow, please see our 3-A Certified 45° Elbow with Tangents.

Applications & Compatibility
Ideal for OEMs, equipment fabricators, and process engineers needing a compact 45° welded elbow with tangents for tight-space sanitary systems where 3-A certification is not required. Compatible with standard sanitary tubing and weld fittings from major industry brands. Suitable for food, beverage, brewery, cosmetic, nutraceutical, and light pharmaceutical process environments.
Quality & Material Verification
All PNW Sanitary Special-series fittings undergo in-house Positive Material Identification (PMI) using the SciAps X-550 handheld XRF spectrometer to verify alloy chemistry and ensure complete material traceability.
