We have also added additional compounds which occur naturally within all healthy hives.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe pheromone attractant comes sealed in a small plastic vial. Each vial contains 1.25 ml of liquid. There is no need to open the vial, just insert the entire unit into the swarm trap. Select a Swarm Trap\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe swarm trap volume should be approximately 35-40 liters (about the size of a standard deep hive box.)\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe entrance of the trap should be 1-1\/4 inches in diameter.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e 2. Bait the Trap\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAdd frames with foundation to your swarm trap. If you have dark old foundation this is best,  as the bees can smell the old hive resources.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eInsert the plastic vial of Scientific Swarm Bait between the top bars of the frames about 3\/4 of the way to the back of the hive.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e 3.
